Isolation: Containers, VMs, Namespaces, Oh My!

Modern systems increasingly rely on isolation mechanisms—especially with the rise of AI agents and sandboxed execution—but there are many different approaches and they each have different strengths and tradeoffs.

~Sam Currie, Founder, Heyo Computer

Cybersecurity is an Education

Isolation: Containers, VMs, Namespaces, Oh My!

Isolation: Containers, VMs, Namespaces, Oh My!

Presenting Cybersecurity concepts can be a challenge. In 2022 CMU was funded by NSA to work with K-12 educators to design lesson plans approachable to K-12 students. If you struggle to communicate about hashes, signed documents, or pattern analysis we have some demonstrations that will help.

~Karl Castleton, CMU Assoc. Professor
